Terry's Tips

Hyperlinking for background and strategy support

Providing a flexible digital environment embedded with 'just-in-time' supports allows students to access help when and where they need it. You can use hyperlinks to link your students out to background information, timelines, strategy supports and other internet-based content that will engage and support your students.

In this case, hyperlinks are used to support students in how to recognize and use strategies and literary elements.  Investigate these links with students and brainstorm to get students to relate their own reading and experiences with the strategies and literary elements.
