Anatomy of an Atom
Atoms consist of three main particles. In the center of an atom is a nucleus, made up of protons, which have a positive charge and neutrons, which have no charge. Each proton has one positive charge.
Electrons surround the nucleus in what we call a cloud, an orbit, or a shell. Each electron has one negetive charge.
