Culture is what makes the Tlingit people distinct. Their culture is marked by what they have able in their terrority including wood, fish, deer, seals, goats, and sheep. Wood is used for carving totem poles, canoes, and building homes. The Tlingit culture is especially know for their totem poles and Chilkat blankets . Both totem poles and Chilkat blankets tell families stories. They are both brightly colored and have detailed designed with people, animals, and shapes.
