Before I talk more about what Willis completed, I would like to give some background information on him. The "Father of Air Conditioning" was born in New York and earned an enginnering degree from Cornell University in 1901. He started to work at Buffalo Forge Company in 1901 and a year later he designed the first air conditioning system. He died in 1950, and in the year of 1985 he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Additionally, he was named one of TIME Magazines "100 Most Influential People of the 20th Century" in the year of 1998. Carrier was looked up to by many people after his creation and still remains a very influential person.
