Yellow Badge
On September 1, 1941, the Third Reich ordered the Jewish people within Nazi-occupied areas to don the yellow Star of David on their cloting when out in public at all times. The badge was inscribed with the word "Jude". Nazis did this to humiliate the Jewish population subject to their power, to segregate them, watch them and prepare them for eventual deportation.
