Die Märchenstrasse stretches from Hanau, (Birthplace of the Grimm Brothers) to Bremen encompassing 600 km in central Germany. At the start of the nineteenth century Wilhelm and Jakob Grimm traveled the region and gathered stories from people they talked to.There are over 60 different stop off points on the journey along the Fairy-tale Road.

Another road is the Romantic Road in southern Germany in the state of Bavaria, and was coined as such by travelers and tourists because of it tying so much to German culture. The Romantic Road has many elegant castles, which is one reason why it is named the Romantic Road.
