Purpose: Dropbox allows its users to share files between devices, including laptops, phones, tablets, and users.
Use in Education: This website and downloadable software is great at allowing students to collaborate at home. If students need to finish working on an assigment later on, they can easily share the file from their dropbox at school to their dropbox on their home personal computer. Teachers can also share lesson plans from their computer at home to their computer at school.
