Tradition

A tradition is a belief, custom, or story passed down from one generation to the next. A tradition has a history of the elders telling the youngest generation about it so it can continue. Traditions are used to make memories or tell family stories from one generation to the next.

An example of a Tlingit family tradition is keeping a totem pole outside of their home.
