animals

The Incas had many animals.

Some of them where:

  • The Cuy: it's also known as guinea-pig and it's a rodent (like a mouse). They ate them. In some countries many children have them as pets.
  • The Llama: it's a cousin of the camel. They used it for carrying heavy things (like a horse or mule) and also because they have very good wool.
  • The hairless Dog: they were pets but they had no hair except for their heads and tails.

The Incas had many animals, but the most important ones where the cuy, the llama and the hairless dog.
