Glossary

Division is the inverse of multiplication where the numerator would be the result of multiplication.  The denominator and the quotient would be the numbers originally multiplied (The quotient and the divisor could actually change places and your answer would still be correct!).

Example:

If three times four is twelve, then twelve divided by three is four.
