Ash is the powdery residue left after the burning of a substance. (Example: If you ever had a bon fire and made smores, ash is the black powdery residue left on the wood once the fire is out)

A small piece of partly burned coal or wood that has stopped giving off flames but is still flamable 

The outer layer of the earth, like the outer most hard part of bread

Igenous rock is formed throug the cooling and solidifying of magma or lava

Hot fluid or semifluid material below or within the earth's crust from which lava and other rock is formed by cooling

 The region of the interior of the Earth between the core (on its inner surface) and the crust (on its outer).

Something that is liquefied (melted down) by heat
