Glossary

Condensation occurs when water vapor in clouds becomes too heavy and turns into a liquid. This liquid then leaves the cloud as either rain, snow, sleet or hail. 

Cycles are a series of events that are repeated in the same order. Some examples of a cycle are the four seasons (spring, summer, fall and winter) and the order of the months. Cycles are like circles, there is no beginning or end.  

Something evaporates when it goes from a liquid to a vapor (gas). When we boil water, the water evaporates into the air. 

When water is present as a gas, not a liquid or solid, it is considered a water vapor. We cannot see water vapor.
