Atmosphere

The atmosphere is the gas dome that surrounds the earth.

Collection

Collection is the runoff of water until it finds a resting place like a lake, ocean, or puddle. This is why we see high rivers and streams on the road after it rains.

Condensation

Condensation is the change of water vapor back to liquid water as water droplets. We can see this happen in daily life like when water droplets appear on the outside of a cold water bottle.

Evaporation

Evaporation is change of water to water vapor. Evaporation makes the water rise into atmosphere. This is why puddles disappear after a sunny day.

Precipitation

Precipitation is the falling of water back to earth. Precipitation has four different forms: rain, snow, sleet, and hail.

Water vapor

Water vapor is the gas form of water.
