Acute Angle

An acute angle is an angle measuring less than 90 degrees.

Acute Angles
All acute angles are angles that range in measure from 0 degrees to 90 degrees (not including 0 degrees or 90 degrees).

Angle
An angle is formed by two rays that share the same endpoint.

Different Angles
All Angles are formed when two rays share a common endpoint.

Denominator
The number on bottom of a fraction.

Hypotenuse
The hypotenuse is the longest side in a right triangle.  It is always opposite the right angle in triangle.

Hypotenuse
Hypotenuses are only found in right triangles.

Leg
Right triangles have two legs.  Each leg is opposite from an acute angle.

Legs of a right triangle
The legs of a right triangle are both opposite from the triangles acute angles.

Numerator
The number on the top of a fraction.

Ratio
A ratio is a comparison between two things relative to each other.

Right Angle
A right angle is an angle that measures 90 degrees.

A Right Angle
Right angles are marked by a box between the two rays.

Right Triangle
A right triangle is a three sided polygon that has one right angle.  The other two angles are acute angles.

A Right Triangle
The angle marked with the box inside the triangle is a right angle measuring 90 degrees. The other two angles are acute angles.

Triangle
A triangle is a 3-sided polygon.

Triangles
All triangles have three sides.
