To drown is to die being completly covered by a liquid or water and not being able to breath.

Someone who is frantic is very upset and moving quickly; searching for something or someone when they are upset.

A labryinth is another word for a maze. This labrinth, or maze, was large and very tricky. Evil King Minos kept a man-eating bull inside the maze and would often put people inside to get trapped and eaten by the bull.

A minoatur is a man-eating bull. This creature has the head of a bull and body of a man. Minoaturs are extremely strong and dangerous mytholgoical creatures.

To plunge is to make a violent downward fall; a sudden steep fall.

In this case all that remained, or was left behind, were feathers from Icarus's wings.
