The perfect squares are the squares of the whole numbers:

In a right angled triangle:
the square of the hypotenuse is equal to
the sum of the squares of the other two sides.



Pythagorean Triple

A "Pythagorean Triple" is a set of positive integersab and c that fits the rule:


a2 + b2 = c2

A right triangle is (you guessed it), a triangle which has a right angle (90°) in it.

To square a number, just multiply it by itself ...

Example: What is 3 squared?
