The Goose With the Golden Egg
A farmer and his wife were working on a farm and they were very poor .One day the wife said to her husband: There is no chicken or goose in the barn, you should go and buy to us a fat goose. We will take care of her and gave her food and water. When the goose would lay eggs, we will sell them and earn money.
The husband went to the village and bought a fat goose then returned to his farm, he was so glad about the goose. His wife liked the goose. She put her on the barn and gave her a lot of food.
Next day the wife went to the barn, and she found the goose laid a golden egg. When the farmer saw the egg, he felt very happy. Then he decided to go to the village, and he sold the golden egg and wins a lot of money.
The farmer and his wife know that they owned a very special goose. Every day the goose would lay a golden egg, which made the couple very rich. A few days later the wife said to her husband "If we could have all the golden eggs that are inside the goose, we could be richer much faster." The farmer said "You're right; we wouldn't have to wait for the goose to lay her egg every day."
The couple decided to killed the goose and cut her open, only they found that she was just like every other goose. She had no golden eggs inside of her at all, and they had no more golden eggs.
