What is a machine
A machine can be composed of one or several moving parts.
To begin, machines help us do work. According to science, the word “work”, means using force - pushing or pulling- in order to make an object or make a change.
There are various types of machines, one example of a machine is a simple machine .The heavier the object, the more force you must use to move it.
Some examples of simple machines are as followed, the leaver, the pulley, the inclined plane, the wheel and axel, the wedge, and the screw are just some to name a few.
The axel goes through the center of the wheel. The amount of force the the driver applies to the steering wheel is increased to turn the car’s wheels.
The pulley is consisted of two pulleys. The top pulley is a fixed pulley which means it stays in one place and the bottom pulley is moveable. The bottom pulley moves up or down along with the load in which is hanging from the hook. If you look at the picture provided to will see how much force is being used to raise the weight.
In the end machines make work easier. They allow us to you less force to do work and we use them in our very day life.
