Brass instrument- an instrument typically made of brass metal, that uses valves or a slide to change pitch.
One of the most famous trumpet players to ever live is Louis Armstrong. He typically played jazz music. Trumpets can play many different styles of music.
Trumpets change their pitch by pressing different combinations of valves. A valve is pictured on this page. There are typically three valves on a trumpet.
