Willis Haviland Carrier
Willis Haviland Carrier is known as the "King of cool." He was very famous because he developed the air-conditioning system. This was a big invention that happened during the 1900's and many people were very grateful for his achievement.
The reason that Willis Carrier decided to create the air-conditioning system was becuase people were complaining about their body temperatures . Everyone was getting hot and they wanted to find a way to keep their bodies cooler. Carrier then thought that in order for people to be comfortable, both temperature and humidity must be controlled. Once his invention was created, people were now happy that the air around them made them feel cool and refreshed!
Once the air-conditioning system was created, it was put into many factories becuase they had a big problem with controlling the temperature and humidity . Soon later air-conditioners were put into theatres hoping that more people would come into their cold rooms to watch a show in the summer. In today's world, many people now have air-conditioners in their homes and cars. Even schools have their own air-conditioning systems. This invention was a great success and it is all thanks to Willis Carrier!
