Web 2.0 Tools for Universal Design for Learning

Molecular Workbench

Molecular Workbench is a site that allows users to create simulations for different topics. This tool can allow students to get a moving visual representation of the things they're learning in the classroom. It also allows users to create their own simulations. This could provide an opportunity for students to create their own simulations. However, I would recommend only older and/or more advanced students create their own simulations due to the steeper learning curve.

Google Drive

Google Drive has a variety of tools that students can use to collaborate and create content together. Students can work at different stations and all collaborate together on the same document. It also offers a variety of tools so students can use these tools on lots of different projects. This allows students to work together and help each other understand content.

Zaption

Zaption is a tool that allows users to create interactive educational videos. Creators can add questions and other interactive tools directly into the video to engage viewers in what they are learning. This is a great tool because it engages auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. However, the main drawback of this tool is that schools have to pay for an annual subscription to the service.
