What is it?

  • Renderforest

Where can I find it?

What does it do?

  • Renderforest is a free platform to easily create videos. Students can select music clips, upload their own music, export voiceovers, utilize various templates, and export to 1080p HD video.

How can this be used in the classroom?

  • Renderforest can be used by students in creating videos for class projects such as presentations, book reports, etc.

How can this remove or reduce barriers for learners?

  • Since Renderforest makes movie making more accessible, it puts movie making more in reach of all students. With limited technological knowledge, anyone can create a movie. This helps students with language difficulties by allowing them to record their voice instead of requiring text input.

Are there any age restrictions?

  • Yes, the Terms of Service state that "Renderforest services are mainly dedicated for adult users and children under the age of 13 should not use our services." This can then be used in Junior High and High School.

What is it?

  • Classmint

Where can I find it?

What does it do?

  • Classmint is a free platform to create and share study notes.

How can this be used in the classroom?

  • Classmint could either be used to complete an assignment where students would develop quality notes on a subject, or it could be used simply for note-taking.

How can this remove or reduce barriers for learners?

  • Since notes are easily sharable, this tool can foster classroom community growth by allowing students to develop notes for students with disabilities or other factors that may prevent them from taking quality notes.

Are there any age restrictions?

  • Yes, the Terms of Service state that "Kids below the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult when using the service." This can then be used in Junior High and High School, or even in Elementary if used carefully.
