There are four main stages in the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection!

During evaporation, the sun heats bodies of water. The water turn in to gas/ vapor and goes into the air!

During condensation, water vapor in the air cools and turns back its liquid state. This is how clouds form!

Precipitation occurs when too much water gathers in the air! Clouds become too heavy and water falls to the group in the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail!

Finally, after water has fallen from the clouds, it enters the collection phase of the water cycle. Water is absorbed into the ground! Now it is time for the water cycle to start over!
