The Reading Panda

Once upon a time,

in a zoo far away,

lived a silly panda

that loved to read all day.

With a book in her paw,

the silly panda would sit in a tree,

turning the pages with her claw,

for all the people to see.

The silly panda really loved books.

She could hardly put them down.

She had them in every nook.

She had books from every town.

The panda was visited by a child.

The little boy had a book about a cub .

This made the panda go wild.

 She even ran into a shrub . 

The panda was so excited, but nobody knew why.

This went on for days.

This book made her smile as big as the sky.

The news must have started a craze .

Many came to see the excited bear.

She was still holding her book.

She didn’t want to share.

She kept giving the pages a look. 

While the zookeepers watched, the panda finally stopped reading her story.

She sat with the book in one paw and bamboo in another.

The panda explained her excitement and glory .

The panda was so happy to read about her cub brother. 

The zookeepers brought her more books about her little brother.

Now that panda has so many new books to read.

She can read them one after the other.
