Reusing and recycling conserves  land, keeping it from becoming landfill space.

One way to conserve resources is to recycle  things that contain useful material.

A lot of the new products are made from recycled glass.

First, the recycled glass bottles and jars are separated by color and then broken down into small pieces. Then, they are put into boxes and shipped to a glass processing company.

Once the glass arrives at the company, it is crushed up into tiny particles , cleaned, and dried. 

Finally, the pieces are melted and changed into glass bottles or jars.
