Visiting Grandma
Goals of the book include to continue to familiarize preschool aged children about their family members, including siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Supports include audio of the text, vocabulary, and visuals, as well as coaching supports.
Katie and her family got into their car to go visit her grandmother. Katie's dad is driving.
Katie and her family reached her grandmother's house. Her grandma lives in a small yellow house, with an orange door.
Katie's grandma was excited to see Katie and her brother. She had made cookies for them.
Katie was excited. Not only did she get a cookie, she also got to visit some more of her family members. Her Aunt Betty and Uncle Jim were also at her grandma's house, with Katie's cousins.
Katie and her cousins all played soccer together, until their grandma called them to come to dinner.
Katie sat next to her Aunt Betty at dinner and told her all about playing soccer.
After dinner, Katie and her family went home. Katie hoped to see her grandma, aunt, uncle, and cousins again soon.
