Using Kahoot is one of the most efficient ways to assess student learning in the classroom. Simply create an account and get started.

kahoot offers educators the opportunity to assess the class using personal devices or school devices...anything that can connect to the internet and open a browser.

In addition to teacher created assessments. Kahoot also offers the ability for students to create their own quizzes.

One use for this could be allowing students to teach a section of the material to the class. The group could then create a kahoot to assess the students understanding of the topic.

This has a major impact on learning, because the students are responsible for deciding what the essential learning targets should be and assessing their peers on this material.

kahoot is an interactive game that allows studnets to participate individually or in groups.

Kahoot offeres immediate feedback after each question, displaying the number of correct responses as when as the number of incorrect responses for each possible answer.

This offers a major advantage for classroom teachers. It allows them to immediately reinforce content mastery and address issues on the spot.

If a teacher notices that a majority of the class (or a significant amount) selected a specific incorrect response, they can immediately address the issue and ensure that students have the opportunity to review.

kahoot offers students a concrete learning experience that can be reflected on. The answers are annonomys. So students that are incorrect can reflect on why they chose the answer that they did and find a new way to connect information.

kahoot allows teachers to efficiently create and design appropraite assessments using digital tools.

2. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments

  • a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
  • b. Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress
  • c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
  • d. Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching

Teachers get immediate data that can be used to inform teaching and learning that instant in the classroom. This is significant because it gives students and teachers the opportunity to change the course of the lesson if necessessary.

Finally, Kahoot is fun and engaging for the entire class. It is competitive and I often find that students really enjoy seeing their porformance up on the board.

They tend to view the activity more as a game than an assessment and this encourages quality engagement. You can also ensure that all students are participating.
