Willis Haviland Carrier invented air conditioning. Through his study of temperature  and humiditiy , the first air conditioner was created. He developed an equation on how they are related.

Carrier studied people. He wanted to figure out what temperatures  made people comfortable. Later he invented ways to control both the temperature  and humidity.

Air-conditioning was first used in factories that needed it. Next, theatres began to have air-conditioning. Now most people have it in their homes!
