The small tan boy ran to the sea. He heard the planes and wanted to see how many there were. He couldn't believe their beauty and the lines coming out of them. He was far away from home on vacation with his family. When he saw the planes and heard them roar all he wanted to do was run after them into the ocean. He pointed at them and yelled so his family would see them too. That made him happy.

You can use a picture to tell a story and to practice brainstorming for writing.

The 3 brainstorming strategies we learned are:

Listing-making a list of words from the picture that you can use to write a story

Mapping-making a map or visual to organize your words to create a story

Freewriting-writing continuously without worrying about spelling, grammar or structure and using the picture and the other brainstorming strategies to create a story
