This is Sally. Sally is sitting with her friends on the rug. Mrs. Smith reads the students a story. Sally is happy because the story is very funny.

Mrs. Smith finishes the story. Mrs. Smith says, "Boys and girls, we will now line up for recess. Could we stand up, and line up at the line in front of the door?" Sally knows that, at school, sometimes we line up.

Sometimes, we line up to go to the library.

Other days, we line up to walk to gym class.

Today, we are lining up to walk to recess. Sally and her friends are very excited, because recess is fun.

Mrs. Smith reminds her class that it is okay to be excited, but it is important to walk when we are in line. Running can cause accidents, and someone could get hurt. Sally knows she should try to walk in the hallway to keep her friends safe.

Sally thinks to herself, "I will try my best to walk in the hallway. I want to keep my friends, and myself, safe. I can be excited while still keeping my body in control."
