Using Resources Again

When you reuse things, you conserve resources. Some ways to conserve resources are by resuing items such as an empty jar, or giving away old clothes or toys.    

Recycling

Another way to conserve resources is to recycle .  Recycling occurs when useful resources are used again.  Metal, glass, plastic, and paper are often recycled and made into new products. 

Process of Recycling Glass 

When recycling glass, it is sorted by color. The glass is then broken into pieces called shards .  Shards are then crushed into tiny particles called cullet .  The cullet is then melted and dried into new glass materials.
