Who invented

Air-Conditioning?

Willis Havilland Carrier  helped to invent  modern air-conditioning Carrier studied the temperature and humidity  of air. He started a company to make air-conditioning systems.

Why do we use it?

Carrier discovered that people are more comfortable when temperature and humidity are controlled. He invented a way to control temperature and humidity. People began to notice that air-conditioned air was comfortable and refreshing.

How we use it

Air-conditioners were first used in factories where they needed to control the temperature and humidity.  Later, movie theaters began to install air-conditioners. They hoped that it would attract more costumers doing the hot weather.  Soon more businesses got air-conditioners. Today, many homes, schools, and cars have air-conditioners.
