Water Cycle

Written by Morgan Seifert

 Evaporation

The first stage of the water cycle is evaporation. In this stage, the sun warms up bodies of water on the surface of Earth, like oceans, river, lakes. Once the water is heated up it turns into water vapor .

Condensation
The second stage of the water cycle is condensation. In this stage water vapor turns into liquid water.  When the watervapor reaches high enough altitude in the air it turns from vapor to liquid.  It can either be tiny droplets of water or ice.

Clouds form when these small droplets come together.

Precipitation

Precipitation is the third stage in the water cycle.  When the clouds have so much condensed water they can't hold it anymore.  When it can't hold it anymore the water falls from the clouds, it can either be rain, sleet , hail , or snow.

Collection

Collection is the forth stage in the cycle, collection occurs when all the water falls from the clouds and collects as ground water .
