Where art thou SOCK?!

This is Jett. She is sad. She lost one side to her favorite pair of socks!
Her favorite cousin gave her these favorite socks.
Jett starts to cry and tells her mom about the missing sock.
"Mom, my polka dot sock...it's ..it's ..it's gone!"
Mom says "Oh dear! Where could it be?"
Jett checked the washing machine.
Mom checked the dryer.
Not there!
Jett checked her laundry bin.
Mom checked her draws.
Not there!
Jett checked her shoes.
Mom checked under her bed.
Not there!
Jett and mom could not find the sock anywhere!
Jett cries "My missing sock is gone forever!"
Mom rubs Jett's back. "It will show up somewhere. I promise" says mom.
Jett keeps her head down.
"We can search again after I finish making dinner", says mom.
Jett gets up. She looked some more. She shook all of the clothes hanging in her closet, looked under all of her stuffed animals and searched behind her pillows.
Still not there!
Jett shook her sheets and blanket. She felt something fall on her foot...
It was her sock! Her missing sock! Jett was so happy that she did not stop looking.
