In 1911, Willis Haviland Carrier invented the first air-conditioner to find how humidity and temperature work together. He started his own company to make air-conditioners.

People and Air-Conditioning

Carrier also studied people and found that they are more comfortable with air-conditioning and the control of temperature and humidity . First, they were put in factories to make jobs more enjoyable.

Air-Conditioning Today

As time went on, theatres got air-conditioners to get more customers. Businesses got them, and soon, many homes, cars, and schools have air-conditioning!
