The Laughing Dragon

By Kim Van Tassel

Once upon a time there lived a dragon who liked to laugh a lot.

Everytime he laughed, he would breathe fire out and he would hurt people.

One day he laughed so hard that he burned a house down.

He laughed and blew their gardens apart.

He laughed and blew some people away.

He laughed harder and the schools flew away. He laughed and away went the fathers jobs.

He laughed and the stores flew away.

He laughed some more and he almost blew the kingdom away.

Then the king got so mad that he told the dragon to leave the little town. So, the dragon left and he was very sad.

But the dragon met some friends. Then he wasn't so sad. But he wished he could have stayed at the little town.

Then one day the king said, "Come back to our little town. You can keep our town warm in the winter." The dragon kept the people warm by laughing all the time.

The people in the town were happy. When summer came, the dragon left. He wasn't sad. He went to another town and kept their little town warm in the winter too.
