Trees Can Do So Much!
The first stop on our journey is the state of West Virginia. The season is mid fall so the trees are looking very bright and colorful. What colors do you see most of?
West VA: State in America, on the East Coast, goes through all seasons
Colorful: Lots of colors
The next stop is Florida. I have been to Florida before with my Grandparents! It's beautiful here with lots of fun things to do like go to the beach. Do you notice that the trees here look different in their leaves and bark?
Florida: East Coast state in America. Mostly warm weather.
Bark: Outtermost layer of the tree trunk.
The next step in our journey is Aspen, Colorado. The trees here are super tall and long. The first thing I noticed was the white bark on the trees. It is cold here but the leaves are still on the trees. How interesting!

We have arrived in California. I am so excited because my Grandfather lives here. He lives in a city called Venice. They have both palm trees and regualr trees too. These trees have huge holes in the trunks.

Let's take a break from traveling. Did you know that the trees change how they look during each season? We have 4 seasons total. Do you know the seasons? Let's talk about them.
Seasons: fall, winter, summer, spring
Change: enviornmental changes such as the color of the leaves
The first season is Fall. The fall is the time when the leaves change colors. Usually orange, yellow, red and green. I like when the leaves start to fall off the tree and we can rake a pile of leaves to jump in!

The next season we will talk about is the winter. The winter is when it is really cold and it normally will snow. I like playing in the snow with my friends. What do you like to do in the snow? Do you know how the trees look? They leaves have fallen off and are waiting to regrow in the spring.
Winter: cold season
Snow: White puffy cold rain/ice
The spring is my families favorite season. I mean just look at those pretty pink leaves! These are called cherry blossoms and they only come out during the spring time. Sometimes they make me sneeze but I sure do like the look of them.
Spring: Somewhat warm season

The summertime is the warmest season we have. It is when we go to the pools and get a break from school, it's a great time! The trees are big, bright green blooming with all the leaves on them. The animals are out enjoying the weather and living in the trees happily.
Blooming: When the leaves are in full sprout
Weather: cold, warm, rainy, snowing, etc.
