The sun is orange and yellow. It is a star. The sun is the center of the solar system. The sun gives us light and heat.
Mercury
Mercury is a gray planet. It is the closest to the sun. Mercury is rocky.
Venus
Venus is a light orange planet. It is the second planet from the sun. Venus is very hot because it has thick clouds.
Earth
The Earth is a blue and white planet. It is the third planet from the sun. The Earth is the only planet where people live.
Mars
Mars is the red planet. It is the fourth planet from the sun. Mars is very cold. Mars has two moons.
Jupiter
Jupiter is a reddish brown planet. It is the fifth planet from the sun and is the biggest planet. Jupiter has clouds and a giant red spot.
Saturn
Saturn is a brownish yellow planet. It is the sixth planet from the sun. Saturn has hundreds of rings around it. There is lightning on Saturn.
Uranus
Uranus is a bright blue planet. It is the seventh planet from the sun. Uranus has 15 moons. It is covered by clouds.
Neptune
Neptune is a blue planet. It is the eighth planet from the sun. Neptune has eight rings. It is really cold on Neptune.
