Fragrance Chemist

fragrance chemist's job is to make scents for products that appeal to other people. The chemist makes scents used in dryer sheets, perfume, cleaners, and much more. The skill needed most for this career is knowledge of organic chemistry.

A video game designer's job is to design elements of a video game, such as the setting, characters, animation, style, and game mechanics. The skills needed for this career are creativity and the ability to program.

A bicycle courier's job is to deliver items from one place to another place. Items could include documents, medical supplies, packages, and many other things. Many companies hire bicycle couriers to help transport items from one company to another company. The skill needed for this career is a good knowledge of the courier's area, so they don't get lost easily.

Food Scientist

A food scientist's job is to conduct research, experiments, and trials to create safer foods and better food processing techniques. The skill needed for this career is experience with chemistry.

Smokejumper

A smokejumper's job is to parachute from an aircraft into rough terrain that's on fire to help suppress wildfires. The skills needed for this career are teamwork, positivity, and excellent physical health.

Cartographer

cartographer's job is to draw and make maps and graphs. They collect geographical information and use it to draw maps and drawings of the earth's surface. The skill needed most for this career is the ability to be precise and accurate.

An audiobook narrator's job is to record themselves reading books aloud for the public to listen to when they purchase an audiobook.  The skill needed most for this career is vocal stamina because they can read between three to eight hours per day.

Activity 1: Say It, Spell It, Write It, Draw It!

Activity 1:Go back to the word bank or glossary and say, spell, and write some of the words you didn't know very well. You can rainbow write them, roll a dice and write the word that number of times, or draw a picture for the word after writing it!

Activity 2: List Synonyms

Activity 2: Pick a word you are less familiar with and make a list of other words similar to it. For example, some synonyms for the word appeal are: tempt, attract, or entice. You give it a try!
