First, we pump a little bit of soap onto our hands.

Next, we turn on the water.

We sing a hand washing song to help us remember how long we should wash our hands - 20 seconds!

Washing Hands

•       At school, we wash hands..

•       We wash hands before we eat snack or lunch and when we get our hands dirty with paint, glue or markers.

•       Sometimes my friends and I get excited when we turn on the water and start splashing the water while washing our hands.

•       It is okay to get excited, but it is important to try to keep the water from splashing everywhere, especially on the floor. Splashing water on the floor makes the floor slippery and it can cause accidents, and my friends or I could get hurt.

 •       I will try to not to splash water when washing my hands.
