My Summer Vacation

A summer vacation is a fun and exciting thing, people everywhere go all over the world for their summer vacations. Alice was excited to go on hers too, she and her family were going to go to Disney World!

Alice and her sister Jenny packed their suitcases a week before they were even leaving for Disney World. Their Mom just laughed and said, "Don't worry we will be going soon enough."

Finally the day came Alice and her family packed their minivan and were off to Florida. "Disney World here we come!" yelled Alice excitedly.

They drove and drove and about five hours later Alice and her family had made the trip from Virginia to Florida. Signs for Disney World whizzed by as they drove on. Alice stared out the window and hoped to soon see the tips of Cinderella's castle.

At last they pulled up to a large hotel called The Contemporary. Alice's Dad parked the car and her and Jenny jumped out. "Hold on girls don't run off quite yet help unload the bags and then we'll check in to the hotel," their Dad said. "Okay!" both Alice and Jenny yelled.

Alice and Jenny ran inside straight to the elevator, their mom and dad trailing behind. They all got in the elevator and went up to the eighth floor, Alice skipped down the hall and stopped in front of their room. Her dad opened the door and they all went inside Alice and her sister dropped their bags and said,"okay lets go to the Magic Kingdom were ready!" Again, their parents just laughed and said,"not quite yet, we will go soon lets just get settled in."

"Look!" Alice franticly yelled, "you can see the castle from our room!" Jenny ran to the window "oh wow you can see the castle, are we ready yet?" she asked. "Yes girls we are ready," said their mom. Alice and her sister grabbed their little backpacks and headed for the door and their parents followed.

They hopped on the monorail and were on their way to the Magic Kingdom. "Lookie lookie you can really see the castle now!" said Jenny. "I'm gonna go on Splash Mountain first," said Alice, "and then the Haunted Mansion!"

Alice and her family spent the whole day at the Magic Kingdom. That night Alice walked sleepily next to her mom and her dad who was holding the sleeping Jenny. They got on the monorail and went back to their hotel. As soon as they got back to their room Alice plopped on the bed and said in a soft voice "that was the best day ever."

Everyday Alice and her family went to one of the Disney World parks, and every night they came home sleepy and worn out but with a smile on their faces. And every night that week Alice would go back to the room and plop on the bed and say,"that was the best day ever."

Finally their trip came to an end, and Alice and her family packed their bags and headed home. Alice was sad to be leaving but excited to go tell everyone the story of her summer vacation.
