IF I Were An Astronaut...

If I were an astronuat, I’d fly to the moon.

In a big rocketship that takes off with a BOOM!

When I got to the moon, I’d collect rocks and dust.

And keep a lookout for comets and meteors , really, a must!

Back in my rocket, I’d head for the stars; 

stopping at Mercury, Venus and Mars

Before heading to Saturn, I’d gaze back at Earth. 

In awe of that planet, the place of my birth.

I’d like to swim in Jupiter’s liquid ocean and then check out Saturn’s chemical commotion.

Riding on Saturn’s rings, what a thrill .

Next, on to Uranus, it took a big spill. 

It spins on its side, but it still has six rings.

Neptune also has rings, and a moon named Triton of all things!

Pluto may be a dwarf planet, but I think it's great!

Our solar system  had nine planets, but now it has eight!

If I were an astronaut, I would love outer space , but I could not wait to get back to earth, my most favorite place!
