I met Sam when I was seven years old.  I was walking to the bus stop with my Mom when I saw him standing there.

As soon as he saw me, he ran over to say hi.  I knew instantly  that we were going to be best friends!  My Mom said he could live at our house but only if I taught  him a few tricks .  So every day when I came home from school, it was time for Sam to go to school.

I taught him the basics : sit, stand, stay, come, roll over, and how to give me a “high five.”  He is such a smart dog!

Sam and I do almost  everything together.  We watch TV,

My favorite thing to do with Sam is play baseball.  I like to be the pitcher  and he likes to be the catcher .

Sam and I also like to go for walks.  We take turns being the leader .

On warm sunny days, we like to go to the park with my Mom and Dad.  Sometimes we just relax  and other times we exercise by playing Frisbee!

No matter what we do, we always have fun together!  I’m very lucky to have a best friend like Sam!
