The Monster in the Bedroom

One day I was going to play with my basketball. My mom told me, "Montana, come in here." "Clean your room," she nagged.

     I said, "Okay."

When I went into my room, I wished somebody would help me. When I turned around, there was a big monster.

His nose looked like a big pillow. His body was wrapped up in stinky covers. His eyes glared like two big bright nightlights! His hands and legs were like big soft pillows.

The big monster said, "If I make your bed up, you have to give me your basketball."

I looked up and thought about it. Then I looked at my bed. I said, "Just make that big sloppy bed clean and I will give you my basketball!"

He zipped and he zoomed. When he stopped, my bed was all cleaned up.

Then he put some dust on my bed and said, "When I put this dust on your bed, your bed will not be messy anymore." Then he climbed under my covers.

When I looked under my covers, he was not there! I will miss my basketball, but I am glad I do not have to make up my bed anymore.
