Vietnamese Green Papaya Salad with Beef Jerky

INGREDIENTS

 


1  medium green papaya or 1 lb. pre-shredded papaya

1/4 cup Thai basil

1 cup Vietnamese spicy sesame beef jerky 

1/2 cup roasted peanut

Dressing:

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar

1 teaspoon Sriracha chili sauce 

1 teaspoon sugar

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

 

 



Dressing

Mix all the ingredients for dressing in a small bowl and stir until the sugar completely dissolve.

 


 

 

 

 



 

Peel the green papaya, then cut it in half and remove all the seeds. Shred the papaya into thin pieces.

 



 

Cut beef jerky into small strips 

 



 

Roughly chop the Thai basil

 




 

Combine the papaya, beef jerky  basil and roasted peanut into a bowl.Toss with some of the dressing on the salad before serving. Enjoy the delicious salad!
