Where is Freddy?

I have a ferret Freddy that my mother gave to me, he lives inside his cage and is a funny site to see.

Today I brought his breakfast, of some fresh alfalfa hay, which is when I realized that my ferret Freddy got away!

Freddy is nocturnal so he runs and plays at night, but today his disappearance really gave me quite a fright!

He is very long and thin so he could fit in any nook , so I sat and thought a minute before I began to look.

I searched throughout the kitchen where he liked to sneak a snack, and in the bag of chips that I found hiding in the back.

I looked under my comforter where it was nice and hot, and even in the bathtub (which is Freddy’s favorite spot).

I looked in all my pockets and in each and every sock, I fumbled through the garbage, as the hands ticked on the clock.

I checked in all the closets, and I looked in every room, but Freddy wasn’t planning to return any time soon.

The next few days I was so sad I hid all of my toys, but one night I was woken to a funny sounding noise...

I tried to fall asleep again but realized full of dread , that the noise was getting louder, and was underneath the bed...

I quickly flew out of the sheets to go turn on the light, and realized all along, I should have looked instead at night!

For what I saw under the bed made my eyes open wide, my little Ferret Freddy with eight babies by her side!

THE  END!
