The Story of the Sad Crab

Once upon a time.... There was a crab named Jimmie. He wasn't so happy all the time; he had a wife named Spongey.

But she was not acting the same at home, so he tried to stay away from home sometimes. He didn't want to, but it was impossible to stop.

So he went to talk to Polly, his mom. She told him that Spongey needed space. He wanted to know how long she would be away because he loved her and missed her  very much.

So one day he came to the decision to follow her and convince her to come back. He knew she started out by going down Jellyfish Lane. So he followed and came to a clam, named Snap, so he asked if he had seen Spongey.

Snap said, "he had seen her, and she had gotten a ride with the sting ray, Mr. Ray. They went down Flipper Dee Drive.

On his way down Flipper Dee Drive Jimmie saw Spongey getting in a Sand Cab, but there were no others around. So, he had to wait for that one to come back.

When the Sand Cab came back he found out by asking that his wife was going to stay in the Coral Hotel in Australia. So, he followed her. It took him two weeks to find his way there.

When he got there he found Spongey in her hotel room. He asked why she ran away from him. She answered by saying, " I didn't want to run away, but I was unhappy at home. You were never home. I missed you, and I couldn't deal with you being away all the time."

"We are even going to be having baby crabs in two weeks. I went to the doctor who could tell me, and he said yes I was. I want to come home, but only if you will be there to support me in my time of need."

Jimmie was very moved and guilty by what she said because he felt terrible for not being home, but the truth was he was upset at home because she was acting very different. That was probably from the whole pregnancy thing. Now he was excited to come home and see his children.

It had been a long time since Jimmie had spoken last, and Jimmie realized Spongey was crying now because he had not answered. She thought he was refusing to come home with her. "Of course I will come home with you. The truth is that you have been acting different at home, and that made me act different. I wish you would have told me everything." He answered finally.

Spongey started crying harder. " I am so sorry, Jimmie."

"Me, too." He responded with a sigh. "But it is all behind us now, okay?"

"Yes, it is." Spongey agreed.

Spongey and Jimmie both realized that they had missed each other even when they were at home. It would be different now when they went home. They would understand each other more clearly now that they have talked to each other about it.

EPILOGUE

Two weeks later Spongey had two crabs. A boy and a girl, their  names are Jimmie Junior and Sandy. Spongey and Jimmie have had a great time raising their  crabs. It is the most challenging experience they have ever had, and they love it, together!
