Welcome to ED 101, your Educational Technology Lab at Boston University.  This online "book" will provide a brief introduction to the course, including its goals, objectives, and final project.



The overarching goal of this course is to:
Investigate, design, and develop technology-based instructional materials for the classroom.
 
The objectives of this course include:
• Understand and describe how varieties of instructional technology can help improve learning.
• Demonstrate mastery of basic principles of web design for educational purposes.
• Recognize the legal and ethical issues that arise from the use of the Internet and other electronic resources.
• Be able to adequately search the Internet for grade and learning level-appropriate content.
• Write lesson plans that include instructional technology solutions that support classroom activities.
