Keep Your Smile Healthy and Happy!


When you have healthy teeth you have something to smile about. This girl is smiling because she is happy to show off her clean, healhty teeth.

Keeping your smile healthy is easier than you think.  There are a five important things to remember when taking care of your teeth. 


This is the number 5. There are 5 important things to do to take care of your teeth.

Visit your dentist two times a year, or every six months, to have your teeth and gums  checked and cleaned.  Your dentist will teach you how to properly  clean your teeth so you don't get cavities .


Your dentist will teach you how to correctly take care of your teeth. This girl in the picture is learning how to brush her teeth properly.


The bristles of a toothbrush, which should be soft, are the part of the brush you clean your teeth with.

To keep your mouth free of cavities ,  brush your teeth at least twice a day.   You should brush for two to three minutes with a soft bristle toothbrush.


You should brush your teeth in three directions; in small circles, up and down, and from front to back.

Flossing your teeth before you go to bed is important.  Flossing helps to remove  food and plaque from between your teeth, which  will prevent  cavities  from forming .


This is dental floss. It is thin so it can fit between your teeth to help you remove food and plague to prevent cavities from forming.


Fruits like oranges, strawberries and kiwi are a healthy food that will help you keep your teeth healthy.

Keep your teeth healthy by eating healthy foods, instead of eating  junk foods filled with sugar.  Fresh fruits and vegtables are a good choice.
