This is a color wheel. The first color wheel was created by Sir Isaac Newton in the 1600's. Artists and graphic designers use the color wheel to learn about color and to create a palette of colors that harmonize.

Red, Blue and Yellow are primary colors. When these are mixed, you can create other colors in the spectrum.

Secondary colors are created by mixing two primary colors. They lie opposite the primary colors in the color wheel. When used together, these create exciting and vibrating combinations.
